And unlike other acids like salicylic or glycolic acid, which work to exfoliate your skin for a smoother surface, hyaluronic acid helps to keep it moist and plump.
The problem is that with age comes the depletion of our naturally produced hyaluronic acid. Not to worry, though, as the best beauty brands have come to the rescue by infusing this magic ingredient into everything from skincare (serums, lotions, face masks) to makeup basics such as primers and foundation, even lipsticks. Hyaluronic acid works to fill out fine lines and remedy sagging, giving us a chance to reclaim our youthful appearances.
Sure, hyaluronic acid may be most beneficial to those with dry skin. But making wrinkles disappear? Well, we can all get in line for that.
